During this comprehensive course, a small group of no more than eight espresso lovers will be shown the path to delicious espresso and the perfect milk foam for freehand poured latte art.
We're happy for you to watch us at work. You can ask any questions you have, observe different espresso extraction methods, and of course, taste the finished drinks. You'll learn what espresso and cappuccino should look and, above all, taste like.

Espresso Preparation
- Understanding the definition of espresso according to the Italian Espresso Institute INEI
- Understanding how portafilter machines work
- Adjusting the grind on the espresso grinder
- Dosing the ground coffee
- Correct pressing/tamping
- Recognizing mistakes
- Raising an understanding of the importance of freshness
- Cleaning the portafilter machine
Including the 45-minute break, the course lasts approximately 6 hours and 15 minutes. There are many options for nearby lunch.
Latte Art
- Selecting the necessary equipment (cups, milk jug, steam wand, etc.)
- Selecting the milk
- Properly using the pulling and rolling phases when frothing
- Creating fine-pored, velvety-glossy milk foam
- Correctly assessing and measuring the temperature of the foamed milk
- Confidence in creating micro-fine milk foam
- Freehand pouring technique for simple motifs such as hearts and leaves
Your task will be to correctly adjust the espresso roast grind on the grinder. Once you can make a good espresso, you will create fine-pored milk foam with velvety-glossy foam, reliably achieve a pleasant drinking temperature, learn the latte art pouring technique, and practice motifs such as hearts and leaves. We'll also show you numerous tips and tricks that will help you achieve quick success when pouring latte art.

Sustainability
We waste almost no cow's milk in our courses since we discovered the Canadian milk substitute "BCB." Fresh, local whole milk is always available for your first milk creations. ;-) Vegan alternatives are also available, of course. If you've already found a tasty vegan alternative, feel free to bring a liter to practice with.
